An ultra-tough, high quality, cross-linking water- based polyurethane varnish designed to provide extreme protection on interior wood, furniture, flooring, concrete, slate and flagstones.
Water, stain, heat and chemical resistant, with additional high UV protection. Quick-curing in 16 hours providing an industrial level of finish.
The previous product, Heavy Duty Extreme Varnish, has now been adapted into two separate products, one for interior use and one for exterior use.
They are each different products to the Heavy Duty Extreme, but each provides a specific set of improved, unique qualities designed for either interior or exterior use.
Preparation
Remove all traces of old finishes, dirt, oil, wax and grease. These may have impregnated the surface and can cause failure.
Sand in direction of the grain to provide a key.
Thoroughly clean after sanding.
Application
Ensure the product is well mixed but do not shake. Apply 3 coats with a synthetic varnish brush.
On new softwood and porous surfaces, dilute the first coat 10% with water. Lightly sand wood in between applications to remove any raising of the grain.
For a dead flat finish with high durability and stain resistance, apply 2 coats of satin followed by 1 coat of dead flat.
To achieve full UV protection, apply 3 coats of satin before a final coat of dead flat. Instructions in the technical data sheet must be followed.
Caution
Appearance may vary according to the colour and type of wood and the number of coats.
Do not continuously submerge in water.
Test for compatibility before application.
Storage
Protect from extremes of temperature during storage and application.

Keep out of reach of children.
Contact with eyes – wash immediately with warm water.
Remove excess from tools and mixing vessels before washing in warm soapy water.
